June 2024

Dear Fellow Alumni and Friends,

While the first day of summer is still weeks away, I hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather and spending time with family and friends. The campus is quiet now following the excitement of graduation. We had a wonderful weekend for commencement, and the joy from the graduates, their families, and their friends was both contagious and heartwarming. We welcome them as alumni and are excited to learn about their new adventures and journeys! As we prepare for the Class of 2028, we invite you to share any advice or wisdom with the incoming students and families.

Thank you for your continued support of each other and Valpo. We look forward to seeing you at Homecoming and Family Weekend, October 4-6, 2024. Save the date on your calendars - more information will be coming soon!

Campus Connection

You’ll Find Your Way

US Senator Young & President Padilla Speak at commencement

“This is the place that opened its arms and embraced you when you were eighteen and will still be giving you bear hugs when you’re 68... The light in that beautiful chapel will always be on for you, and will illuminate the way out for whatever challenges or hard times you have. You no longer need a compass; you no longer need a GPS. Just look toward the light and you’ll find your way. So, class of 2024, congratulations. May God love you, because we sure do and we always will.”

-President José D. Padilla, J.D.
